April 23 - May 4: Cabinet of Curious Ties

The year 2006 brought thirty distinct individuals together for three weeks of community and creative interaction. A singular alchemy resulted this year. Some artists purposely brought no materials with them; others intentionally worked with media strange to them; surprising collaborations were formed; all were open to critique, spontaneity, and serendipity. Before the anniversary of their gathering, the dispersed artists were asked to submit works that were influenced by their experiences at Art Omi and the gravities that bound them for that short sweet while then let them go.
